Fashion Show Cancer Council Relay for Life

On Saturday 26th of March, Fashion Design students of IDU dedicated their time to creating a fun fashion parade as part of the day’s entertainment at the Relay for Life in Milton Showground. Relay for Life is a fundraising event of the Cancer Council.

Models took to the unconventional trailer runway, in students past work; ranging from 1950’s inspired day dresses, to swimsuits, to fibreglass masterpieces.

“It is a nice event to be a part of, as it brings the whole community together for a weekend of fun, entertainment, celebration & awareness.” Ashleigh Drekovic

T.D.F.C take on swan lake poster designed by IDU student Ross Busse

Ross Busse was asked by TDFC principal Kriselle Izard to use his talent and skills in graphic design and come up with an eye-catching poster to advertise the show.  The end of year production is ” a take ” on Swan Lake and needed to have the traditional elements of the traditional ballet with a hint of urban flavour.

Ross did such a great job with the designs, principal Kriselle Izard mentioned that students and parents of the Academy were so impressed with what Ross had come up with…. thanks to this eye catching poster tickets are selling very fast.
