Why Ulladulla
Sydney is overcrowded with private colleges offering design subjects but the south coast had no design courses for local students from Nowra to Moruya.
After speaking with school principals and careers advisors from Nowra to Moruya, Karl became convinced that the area would benefit from a design college. Prior to IDU students wanting to study design needed to relocate to Wollongong, Sydney or Canberra.
The main aim of the new Institute will be to give local students the same or better training facility than they would have in Sydney or any other metropolitan city.
